hi.
an idea for ignore feature we have.
how about, in adition to ignoring qn's, private messages, and board posts you can ignore messages posted on sound off?
i've only just realised, this is not possible as i have one user on ignore, but can still see there sound off posts.
so, what's to stop them from posting rude messages directly at you on the sound off boards?
Well, ignoring those things Dan wouldn't help because they could just do it anomymously and then the system couldn't ignore the messages. If it did then you'd know who was saying those things and they wouldn't be anomymous anymore which would defeat the whole purpose of the anomymous feature.
I'm not sure there's anything we can do about that really. Though further suggestions are always welcome.

good point dan, but surely you can ignore them if they are just posting normally and you just know who they all?
if they hide there name, it will make no odds because the system is only ignoring message from the actual person that it knows exist.
maybe the link "ignore everything" should be called "ignore everything above"
oh another thing, people could still send you emails, or add you to msn.
wouldn't be good to really extend the feature so it blocked them?
how the hell would you do that, it's your fault if you're on their msn, you can block them. It's not the site's responsibility
Dan, if you don't want people adding you, you can always remove your msn from your profile and say, for instance ask for it if you want it, or something of that sort. If indeed the person willput something on the sound of board and is writing anonymously, you would, even if it were possible to do, know who writes what then by removing him/her from your ignore list after seeing that the anonymous post is ignored and therefore, it would go against that rule. As far as mails are concerned, you can block the private mails. And as I said above, you can remove our msn from the profile. In this way no one can add you randomly. I personally don't mind because if some one proves to be a jurk later, i could still make good use of this feature called the block button. cheers mate.
